Waterholes play a vital role for the desert people. The evident ones are the ones that appear after a good rain and the rain came late like clockwork. The other waterholes are secret ones where the desert people know where to look for them. These secret water holes served their purpose in time of drought and, when these times came those waterholes were used when required and not overused.
